Philadelphia offseason

So far this offseason the eagles have made several moves. We traded out of the first round along with a fourth round for a second round pick in the draft a higher fourth round and another 2nd round pick next year which is a good deal considering it was the last overall pic of the 1st round and we got the tight end in the second round we would have taken any way. We also traded away wide receiver Torrey Smith for Daryl Worley but ended up releasing him because he got arrested. This did not matter to much though because we would have released Smith anyway. We also got Michael Bennet a big time trade that will help us at defensive end. We also resigned one of our big time players Nigel Bradham and signed running back Matt Jones. Some of this news is not recent but this is an overview of the Eagles biggest offseason moves so far.

Post Superbowl

After the Eagles first Super Bowl win I will talk about the Eagles offseason moves and possible moves but I will wait until more offseason moves happened So I will talk about the Eagles Super Bowl celebration that happened after the Super Bowl. Eagles fans went crazy they began climbing and tearing down light poles and stoplights,they flipped cars,got on top Ritz Carlton awning and began jumping off into the crowd and eventually so many got on top of it that it collapsed and one fan ate a cow turd. Cops were all over the place most exited just like the fans but they had to try to control the wild fans. When cop cars came one fan jumped on top a cop car shirtless and stood on top of it while it drove around. The cop cars weren’t going very fast with crowds of people and fires being set in the middle of the street. Police in riot gear eventually had to put down these wild fans.

Super Bowl 52

Last night the Eagle won their first Super Bowl! This is very exiting for every eagles fan and even exiting for a lot of other people as well. This is exiting for so many other people because so many people were rooting against the Patriots who are the power team of the NFL right now and people are tired of seeing them win. This game was an interesting one watch till the very end it was anyones game. I am very impressed with the way we played without Carson Wentz our starting QB. We are one of the only teams to win a Super Bowl without our starting QB which shows how good of a team we were this year. The eagles have impressed a lot of people this year and they have finally been able to win their first Super Bowl

Road to the Super Bowl

This is my first blog post in almost a month so a lot has happened for the eagles. The eagles are currently in the playoffs at the number one seed in the NFC with a first week bye and home field advantage. This looks good but our starting QB suffered an ACL tear several weeks ago and will be out for the season. This injury hurt our chances of winning the Super Bowl significantly. Our backup QB Nick Foles has gotten the eagles to the playoffs before but I am not very confident that he can take us all the way to a Super Bowl and win. I will be surprised if they make it to the Super Bowl and if they mange to win it I will be even more surprised but you never know what can happen.

Big Matchup

Last week the 10-1 eagles lost a game to the Seattle Seahawks making their record currently now 10-2. This was a rough game to watch for the Eagles. There were some good plays made on our side but the final score was 10-24. This is extreme low for the eagles this season who have averaged a little more than 30 points per a game. This week they are on the road again playing the LA Rams. This is going to be a very big game for every NFL fan. The reason for this is these are both very good teams that are in the same conference fighting for a first week bye in the playoffs. The even bigger reason that so many NFL fans are going to watch is this game is being looked at as Carson Wentz verses Jared Goff. These two players are both QBs that were drafted #1 and #2 overall in the 2016 draft and this is the first time they will play each other. This is a big matchup and will affect the playoff picture big time this year.

Big Trade

Big news in the NFL and good news for Eagles fans. The Eagles have acquired big name running back Jay Ajayi for a 4th round pick from the Dolphins. He ran for 1,272 yards last season and was a Pro Bowl selection. Ajayi has struggled this season so far but that is due to the Dolphin’s horrible offensive line. Ajayi will now be on the 4th best rushing offensive team so far this season so i believe this season will turn around for him. This team currently best in the NFL has just received another big time player that will make this already good team even better. He will most likely play in this weeks games against the Broncos but probably will not be in very much since the trade was just made earlier this week.

Exciting Year for the Eagles

Currently tied for the best record in the NFL the eagles are having a very exciting year for eagles fans. With Carson Wentz playing incredible and in the running for MVP now being the favorite in Vegas to win MVP this year it is exiting to know that he is progressing at this rate. Wentz and tight end Zach Ertz currently have the most completions between a tight end and quarterback in the NFL this season. With this duo and several young and developing running backs this is a very dominant offense. With their top cornerback Ronald Darby returning soon and already having the best running defense in the league only allowing 65 running YPG this can be a top notch defense with already a top 10 defensive line. We play Washington next week which is a conference game and if we win this will be a third conference win making a much easier road to the playoffs. I am glad at the solid season we are having so far and would like to see where the Eagles can go this season

Good year ahead for Eagles

The Eagles are having a solid season so far. Currently having a record of 3-1 losing only to the still undefeated Chiefs. We have had many players step up this season but we also have had some injuries that have hurt us. We have lost starting CB Ronald Darby in the first game of the season. Along with this we have lost RB and special teams specialist Darren Sproles suffering a torn ACL and broken forearm in the same play. Sadly this will most likely be a career ender considering he is 34 and a running back. Along with these 2 big pieces to the Eagles team out we also have our starting DT Fletcher Cox out against the Cardinals next game. Even with these setbacks we have a 3-1 record. This is thanks to other players stepping up. 2nd year QB Carson Wentz is playing like a veteran and all their running backs have been playing getting the younger players experience and they still have the 4th most rushing yards in the NFL. This group of players along with Jalen Mills a standout 2nd year player and Jake Elliot a rookie kicker who is tied for the 3rd most field goals this season and made a 61 yard game winning field goal breaking 2 records the longest field goal by a rookie and longest field goal by an Eagle player. This team has a very good chance to go to the playoffs and in a few years if they draft well can make a Super Bowl appearance with several young players on their team that are only getting better.

Eagles new improvements

The Eagles look to have a roster that could be pretty good this season. They drafted Derek Barnett who is University of Tennessee’s all time sack leader.They also acquired corner back Ronald Darby who is in his 3rd year and has 137 tackles and 33 pass deflections since he entered the league 2 years ago. The eagles also look to be very good offensivley this year they signed LeGarrette Blount who ran for 1,161 yards last season for the Patriots who won the Super Bowl 51. They also signed two big name receivers Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith for their 2nd year QB Carson Wentz to use. We will see what the eagles to do with all these new weapons they got this offseason.

Everything Eagles

Eagles at Redskins 10/16/16

Hey I am Eagle Energy. I will be posting updates about game results, injuries, trades and breaking news about the Philadelphia Eagles. I will cover things such as if there is a player released or signed from free agency by the Eagles. If anything off the field happens off the field such as a suspension I will post about what is going on since the NFL takes a while to determine the punishment and the suspension often gets appealed. I will update this blog weekly one everything related to the Eagles hope you enjoy my blog.
